HOW DOES WET PAINTING WORK?

2. Wet paint application

The wet paint is applied evenly with a spray gun, allowing even complex geometries to be treated perfectly.

LIMITATIONS OF WET PAINTING

Longer drying times

Unlike powder coating, which cures in an oven, wet paint must dry. As a result, the total lead time can be longer, especially if a multi-layer system is used.

Less wear-resistant

Although wet paint offers a high-quality and aesthetic finish, the coating is generally less resistant to scratches, impacts, and aggressive chemicals than powder coating.

Higher environmental impact

Wet paints contain solvents (VOCs) that can be harmful to the environment. Modern installations and the choice of water-based paint systems limit this impact, but it remains an important point of attention.
